UK airports report minimal strike disruption

Despite the fact both UK customs and immigration officers joined the public sector strike action today, it’s been reported that passengers at major airports have not suffered any significant delays.

According to the Guardian, both Heathrow and Gatwick said passport control queues were hitting Home Office targets. At Manchester Airport, only passengers to America were facing delays of up to an hour.

The city, popular for holidays in Florida, received a record number of holidaymakers visiting the city during 2010. Its tourist board has published figures showing that 51 million people came to holiday in Orlando last year and the trend is apparently set to continue in 2011.
