Travel show promotes adventure

Travellers and holidaymakers in London are gearing up for the Adventure Travel Show.

Hosted by the Telegraph newspaper, the Adventure Travel Show helps visitors plan exciting, unique holidays across the globe.

Topics covered include small group adventures, volunteering and career break projects, remote discoveries, eco adventures, safaris, walking and trekking, intimate wildlife encounters and exploratory journeys.

“The Telegraph Adventure Show is a world of extraordinary discoveries, under one roof,” the Telegraph said in a press release.

“It is the UK’s foremost travel event for people who like to travel outside the mainstream – whether it be on small-group adventures, exclusive expeditions or epic journeys.”

Some of the most experienced trekkers and journalists in the world will be hosting events during the travel show – speakers include climber Annabelle Bond, Olympic athlete James Cracknell and wildlife photographer Mark Carwardine.

“The Telegraph Adventure Travel Show is packed with inspirational travel advice from experts, explorers, tour leaders and writers who will help you uncover your perfect adventure,” the Telegraph said.

“Plus, the best specialist travel operators will be on hand to offer advice on everything from walking and trekking to exploratory journeys, safaris, overland trips, life-changing volunteering projects and much more.”

In addition to speakers, visitors will also have the opportunity to attend several seminars over the course of the travel show.

In particular, travel photography and travel writing seminars will help visitors improve their skills through practical advice and helpful tips – experts will also be on hand to answer questions and to share their experiences.

The Adventure Travel Show runs 28-29 January
